Matt Kemp Gets Traded From LA to San Diego

All good things must come to an end.

According to many sources, things have come to an end for Matt Kemp when The Dodgers agreed this morning to trade him to the San Diego Padres in exchange for  catcher Yasmani Grandal and pitchers Joe Wieland and Zac Eflin. Joining Kemp will be catcher Tim Federoxicz, in addition to  approximately $31 million to cover the remaining $107 million contract for the outfielder.

The news of Kemp’s trade was just one day after second baseman Dee Gordon and starter Dan Haren was traded to Miami Marlins for pitching prospect Andrew Heaney, reliever Chris Hatcher, utilityman Enrique  Hernandez, and minor league catcher Austin Barnes. This news also leaves his spot open for outfielders Andre Either and Joc Peterson.
