A video of Lebron James son was released just earlier of him playing basketball during a tournament in New Orleans. From the looks of the video, Lebron James Jr. is extremely talented.
However, once that video went viral, many went crazy. In fact, many colleges were sending him recruitment letters trying to get the Cleveland Cavaliers player’s son to become a part of their college team when he gets out of high school.
However, according to ESPN, James was not pleased about what the recruiters were doing:
“Yeah, he’s already got some offers from colleges,” James told CBS Detroit before the Cleveland Cavaliers‘ matchup against the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday. “It’s pretty crazy. It should be a violation. You shouldn’t be recruiting 10-year-old kids.”
“My son is going to be a kid as long as he can be,” James said Thursday after the Cavs’ shootaround. “That’s all he needs to worry about. He loves to play the game of basketball, he loves to play video games, he loves to do his homework. That’s all that matters. Everything else doesn’t matter. He loves his brother, his sister, his dad, his mom, his grandmom. Let him be a kid.”
This is very true. Even though that he is talented, he is still a young child and should be able to experience childhood for however long he wants to do it.
